The Abitibi-Price Inc. Forestry Environmental Award
$640 (APEAI)
- Awarded to a high standing student registered in the Faculty of Natural Resources Management in one or more of the following courses: Forestry 1050 - Contemporary Forest Issues, Forestry 2130 - Genetics / Tree Improvement and Forestry 2210 - Forest Ecology and Silvics. Awarded on the basis of recommendation by the Faculty of Natural Resources Management to the Senate Undergraduate Scholarships and Bursaries Committee.
 
Bowater Canadian Forest Products Inc. Forestry Award
$600 (CPFP1, 2, 3)
- Awarded on the basis of academic performance to a deserving student of the Forestry Degree program at Lakehead University. The award will be paid in three yearly installments of $200 each, provided a satisfactory average is maintained. Awarded on the basis of recommendation by the Faculty of Natural Resources Management to the Senate Undergraduate Scholarships and Bursaries Committee.
 
Forest Products Research Society Eastern Canada Section Wood Award
$100 (FPECI)
- Awarded on the recommendation by the Faculty of Natural Resources Management to a deserving graduating student at Lakehead University at the conclusion of his/her fourth year wood technology course at Lakehead University. The award consists of an engraved plaque, a cash prize and a one year membership in the Forest Products Research Society.
 
Kenneth Hearnden Award in Forestry (Degree)
$350 (KHAFI)
- Awarded annually on the recommendation of the Faculty of Natural Resources Management to a full-time student entering the fourth year of the Honours Bachelor of Science in Forestry program who has achieved the highest overall average of the required, non-elective courses in the third year of the program.
 
Kenneth Hearnden Award in Forestry (Transfer)
$350 (KHAFI)
- Awarded annually on the recommendation of the Faculty of Natural Resources Management to a full-time student who has transferred from a forest technology program at another institution. The award will be given to the student with the highest standing in Forest Mensuration courses.
 
Lakehead Forest Products Safety Council Forestry Degree 2nd Year Student Award
$800 (LFSAI)
- Awarded annually to a deserving second year student registered full-time in either the Honours Bachelor of Science Forestry or Honours Bachelor of Science in Forestry Co-operative program, with good academic standing. Preference shall be given to a student from Northwestern Ontario. Awarded on the recommendation of the Faculty of Natural Resources Management to the Senate Undergraduate Scholarships and Bursaries Committee.
 
Lakehead Forest Products Safety Council Forestry Degree 3rd Year Student Award
$800 (LFSCI)
- Awarded annually to a deserving third year student registered full-time in either the Honours Bachelor of Science Forestry or Honours Bachelor of Science in Forestry Co-operative program, with good academic standing. Preference shall be given to a student from Northwestern Ontario. Awarded on the recommendation of the Faculty of Natural Resources Management to the Senate Undergraduate Scholarships and Bursaries Committee.
 
PRT Silviculture Award
$500 (PRTAI)
- Awarded to the student who completes the second year of the Honours Bachelor of Science in Forestry program with the highest standing in Silviculture. Awarded on the basis of recommendation by the Faculty of Natural Resources Management to the Senate Undergraduate Scholarships and Bursaries Committee.
 
PRT Silviculture Award
$500 (PRTAI)
- Awarded to the student entering the Forestry Diploma / Forestry Degree Transfer Program and achieved the highest standing in Silviculture taken at Lakehead University. Awarded on the basis of recommendation by the Faculty of Natural Resources Management to the Senate Undergraduate Scholarships and Bursaries Committee.
 
Jane Spurgeon Memorial Award
$110 (JSMAI)
- Awarded annually on the recommendation of the Faculty of Natural Resources Management to a student entering second year who exhibits good potential in the forestry field. The recipient will be judged on potential in forestry field, ambitions, interests, extra-curricular activities and academic standing.
 
Superior - Wood Tree Improvement Association Forest Genetics and Tree Improvement Course Award
$500 (SWTAI)
- Awarded annually to a student who completes Forestry 2130 - Genetics / Tree Improvement. Awarded on the basis of recommendation by the Faculty of Natural Resources Management to the Senate Undergraduate Scholarships and Bursaries Committee.
 
Leo Vidlak Memorial Award
$190 (LVMAI)
- Awarded by the Faculty of Natural Resources Management to a student who has completed a forestry diploma program with a high academic standing in dendrology and who achieves a high standing in Forestry 3214 - Silviculture II.

Canadian Woodlands Forum Central Branch Forestry Award
$500 (CWFAI)
- Awarded to a deserving student on the basis of academic standing and financial need. Candidates should havea 'B' standing or higher in their second or third year of the Honours Bachelor of Science in Forestry Degree Program and provide a statement concerning their career aspirations. Preference will be given to a resident of Northwestern Ontario or Manitoba. Awarded by the Senate Undergraduate Scholarships and Bursaries Committee on the recommendation of the Faculty of Natural Resources Management.

Thomas Cornell Memorial Award
$760 (TCMAI)
- Established in 1987 in memory of Thomas Cornell, a long-time resident, horticulturalist and well-known nurseryman who lived in the Thunder Bay area. Awarded annually on the recommendation of the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Resources Management and the Chair of the Department of Biology and the Senate Undergraduate or Graduate Studies Committee to a graduate or undergraduate student who shows interest in the propagation and cultivation of ornamental trees and shrubs for Northern Ontario. This interest may be demonstrated through in-course assignments such as term papers, germination, propagation or outplanting projects.

Ivar Derek Luksep Memorial Award
$210 (IDLMI)
- Awarded to a student in the second year of the Honours Bachelor of Science in Forestry Degree Program on the basis of citizenship, involvement in school and university activities and sports, and satisfactory scholastic standing. Nominations may be made by faculty or students to the Awards Representative for the Faculty of Natural Resources Management who shall recommend a recipient to the Senate Undergraduate Scholarships and Bursaries Committee.

Superior - Wood Tree Improvement Association Forest Genetics and tree Improvement Thesis Award
$1000 (SWTTI)
- Awarded annually to a student who help completes an undergraduate thesis, Forestry 4020, in forest genetics and tree improvement. Awarded on the basis of recommendation by the Faculty of Natural Resources Management to the Senate Undergraduate Scholarships and Bursaries Committee.

Weyerhaueser Community Education Scholarship
2 × $3000 (WOCSI)
- Awarded on the basis of academic achievement to a deserving student in one of the following programs: Forestry and Environmental Studies; Environmental Studies; Chemical Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Electrical Engineering; or Mechanical Engineering Technology. Preference will be given to students from a Weyerhaueser operating region in Canada.
- A Lakehead University Weyerhaueser Operation Community Education Diversity Scholarship Application is required.

Abitibi-Consolidated Inc. Lakehead University 30th Anniversary Bursary
$200 (APABI)
- Awarded on the basis of financial need to a student showing general proficiency in his / her study of science of forestry.
 
Ralph Birston Bursary
$340 (O-RBFBI)
- Created in 1997 by the Faculty of Natural Resources Management technical staff in honour of Ralph Birston, long- time technologist at Lakehead University. Awarded to a student transferring from any accredited Forestry Diploma program into the Honours Bachelor of Science in Forestry program at Lakehead University, on the basis of financial need and a minimum 'B' standing.
 
Bowater Canadian Forest Products Inc. Bursary
2 × $200 (BPPBI)
- Awarded to an in-course student in the Faculty of Natural Resources Management on the basis of financial need.
 
The "Army" Boyle Memorial Fund Bursary
$500 (BOYBI)
- To be awarded to a Forestry Degree student, in the third or completing year, based on financial need and satisfactory academic standing.
 
Canadian Institute of Forestry (Ontario Section) Bursary
$400 (O-CFFBI)
- Awarded to a student entering the third year of Forestry on the basis of financial need. The student must demonstrate an exemplary understanding of sustainable forestry and have a recommendation from a faculty member. Preference shall be given to a student with related work experience, 2-3 months in duration. The recipient will be determined by recommendation of the Faculty of Natural Resources Management and through thr Lakehead University Fall Bursary Application process.

Class of '73 Award of Merit in Memory of Gary McKellar
$520 (O-MCKBI)
- Awarded annually to a deserving entering the third or fourth year of the Honours Bachelor of Science in Forestry Degree program (non-co-op), who has demonstrated satisfactory overall academic achievement, leadership capabilities, a dedication to the profession of forestry, and financial need. The student will be involved in student and professional organizations as well as other university forestry-related activities. The recipient will be determined by recommendation of the Faculty of Natural Resources Management and through thr Lakehead University Fall Bursary Application process.

Ben Cowan Memorial Bursary
$810 (O-BCMBI)
- Established in 2000 by family, friends and colleagues in memory of Ben Cowan, Lakehead University Honourary Degree recipient. Awarded to a student in Engineering, Forestry or Geology, on the basis of financial need.
 
Domtar Forest Products Bursary
2 × $510 (O-DFPBI)
- Awarded to the student in the Honours Bachelor of Science in Forestry Degree program on the basis of financial need. Preference will be given to aboriginal students. Recipients may have the opportunity of spending a work term in Domtar operations in order to gain field experience.
 
Raimo Kanala Memorial Award in Forestry
$210 (RKMBI)
- Established in 1986 in memory of Raimo Kanala by his classmates in the Honours Bachelor of Science in Forestry graduating class of '86. Awarded on the basis of financial need to a student in the third year of the Forestry degree program whose permanent residence is in Northern Ontario.
 
KBM Forestry Consultants Inc. Bursary
$400 (O-KBMB)
- Awarded to a student in the Faculty of Natural Resources Management on the basis of financial need.
 
Lakehead Conservation Foundation Bursary
$300 (LCFBI)
- Awarded to an in-course Forestry student registered in a program of renewable resources conservation.
 
Lakehead University Faculty of Natural Resources Management Bursary
$550 (O-DFFBI)
- Awarded to a student in the Faculty of Natural Resources Management on the basis of financial need.
The McCallum Family Bursary
$600 (O-MCCBI)
- Awarded to an in-course student registered in the Faculty of Natural Resources Management program on the basis of financial need and a minimum 'B' standing.
 
Nature's Trees "Saveatree" Bursary
$450 (O-NTRBI)
- Awarded to an in-course student registered in the Faculty of Natural Resources Management on the basis of financial need and satisfactory academic achievement.
 
John and Toie Naysmith Forestry Bursary
$400 (O-NAYBI)
- Awarded to an in-course Forestry degree program on the basis of financial need and a minimum 'B' standing.
 
Jim Park Memorial Bursary
$330 (O-JPMBI)
- Created by family and friends in memory of Jim Park. Jim was a journalist who helped lead forest management publication education and communications in Ontario in the late 1980's and early 1990's. Awarded to an in-course student in the Forestry Degree program on the basis of financial need and a minimum 'B' standing.
 
Arthur Shewchuk Memorial Bursary
$200 (ASMBI)
- Established by Lakehead Region Conservation Authority. Awarded on the basis of need to a deserving student, entering Lakehead University, who permanently resides in one of the participating municipalities of the Conservation Authority, namely: Thunder Bay, Oliver, O'Connor, Neebing, Shuniah, Paipoonge, Conmee, Gillies or Dorion. The student will be entering the field of Biology, Geography, Forestry or Engineering.
 
Thunder Bay District Fish and Game / Hunter Safety Bursary
2 × $330 (O-TFGB)
- Awarded to a full-time student entering a relevant degree program on the basis of financial need and a minimum B+ average and who demonstrates interest in the environment issues such as fish, wildlife resource technology and forestry. Preference shall be given to a student from Northwestern Ontario.
 
Weyerhaueser Community Education Bursary
$3000 (WOCSI)
- Awarded on a student in one of the following programs: Forestry and Environmental Studies; Environmental Studies; Chemical Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Electrical Engineering; or Mechanical Engineering Technology on the basis of financial need and satisfactory academic standing. Preference will be given to students that are; from a Weyerhaueser operating region in Canada, of aboriginal ancestry (including status and non-status Indians, Metis, Inuit), or femail, or have physical, mental, or learning disability, or who are members of a visbil minority.
- A Lakehead University Weyerhaueser Operation Community Education Diversity Bursary Application is required.
 
Dr. S.R. Zingel Bursary
$180 (DSZBI)
- Established by alumni, colleagues and friends in honour of Dr. S.R. Zingel, a Forestry professor from 1966-1992, who retired in January 1992. Awarded to a third year Forestry degree student who attains a minimum 'B' standing in the Forestry 2110 - Forest Soils course.
